Hi,
My 17 week old is being rocked to sleep at the moment and we are trying to wean him off it gradually by doing two minutes less every second day (fingers crossed it works!)
He is a cat napper during the day, only sleeping 45 mind unless on me so we aim for 4 cot naps although his last one of the day is notoriously difficult to get him to settle.
His bed time is start the routine at 6 and ends up in his cot asleep by 7. Since the dreaded sleep regression, he now wakes up a few times. When I am downstairs after 7 watching the monitor, he does open his eyes and then drift back off more than once. After his feed at 10,wgen I go to bed, I hear him waking up, grunting and drifting off. I know it's silly, but is this self settling? If so, does it mean those times he dies wake up fully means he needs feeding? And how on earth do I use this skill if he has it to get him to go down for naps and bed without rocking him?!! No one ever talks about how hard it is being a mummy for the first time! Constantly second guessing myself
