its very similar to this one ds was 2 in april

I'd say around 4 btu depends on his developemtn and temperament . That ladder looks really awkward tbh with the bars in the way.

My ds went in to one very similar when he was three, but he has always been a real climber.
dd, just turned three, can get into it easily but really struggles to get down again so I would not trust her in one for a while.
