can anyone offer any advice.my (almost)8month old dd was a fantastic little eater since weaning started at 22weeks.for the last 3days she has only managed a bowl of porridge for breakfast on two of the days, nothing else.she did consent to some fruit puree and yoghurt on one day and is still taking her milk(I have upped her milk-formula-feeds to hopefully compensate for the lack of solids.)she has no teeth yet but has been biting really hard and so I am hoping this is a prelude to some tooth action??she has a little cough thing happening as well which seems to happen as she sleeps mostly, could it be the extra dribble..dont want to sound neurotic but also dont want to put it down to the 'old favourite' teething if it could be something else.I continue to offer her her solids at mealtimes and she point blank shuts her little mouth and refuses.I dont want to make mealtimes into a battleground at this point...has anyone any similar experiences..feel free to tell me to stop being a drama if its all just her nashers!

Mine also goes off her food when teething and somedays I think just can't be bothered. Don't worry, as long as she's having her milk she won't starve. Mine normally makes up for it by eating her way through the fridge a few days later.

..thank you...am hoping its teeth..the little cough thing is a bit sad as she does it in her sleep ...but otherwise she is still pretty active and laughs a lot...

maybe she's got a bit of a cold too or is it dry in her room? if it is you could either use a humidifier or damp towel on the radiator etc. I don't have any experience of the cough thing myself but I know my appetitie is affected by how i feel.
