Baby with reflux won't sleep!

Hi all

My 6 week old little girl has reflux, we are currently using Gaviscon which has stopped her being sick but it hasn't helped with the pain.
We are being reviewed by the gp tomorrow and then possibly going on medication.

The only way she will happily sleep is on my chest whilst I'm sat up or in her sling. This i don't mind however I am getting ZERO sleep!!!!

Any tips with what might help???

Thanks x

Try propping up her mattress on a slight angle. Hold her upright for half an hour after feeds. In the end mine had to sleep on her front, but only do this with medical support as the risk of cot death is greater. Mine had a sleep apnea monitor on to give me peace of mind.

Have you tried gripe water? It helped my baby who used to wake up crying and throwing up. Even though he threw up after taking gripe water, it wasn't painful for him. Sodium bicarb in gripe water neutralizes the stomach acid and helps with the pain.
