Myb3 day old son who I keep putting to sleep on his back, rolls onto his side independently and stays there for the rest of the night. Should I be concerned? He really won’t stay on his back, I keep trying.

I would call and speak to your health visitor as I'm not sure about the implications of side sleeping if baby has independently rolled but if he is rolling and your concerned maybe get an angel mat to put your mind at rest. I couldn't like without mine

My DS always slept on his side. I asked HV about it when she came out and she said that it was fine.

If he can roll independently I wouldn't be worried.

Thanks, I asked my midwife on the first visit after hospital and she said it’s fine as long as he is rolling himself, but I start off by putting him on his back. He just can’t or won’t stay on his back for whatever reason, but i find myself unable to sleep at night (in the opportunities we get) because I’m scared something will happen to him.
