Struggling with naps... any advice!

I’m desperatly trying to get my 9 week old DD in some sort of routine, even just a loose sort of routine but I don’t know where to begin! She doesn’t nap the best unless out in the pram, when at home I can spend 45/50 minutes trying to get her to sleep only to get 15 minutes out of her. I look for all the signs and I don’t think I’m leaving it too long. I swaddle her and we use white noise, still don’t get longer than 30 minutes. She can nap longer because on the odd occasion she has slept for and hour and a half/ two hours. She is then exhausted of an evening, hard to settle and me and my OH take turns holding, rocking and cuddling. Bed time normally ends up being 10pm. Any advice??

Sorry also forgot to mention, we get about 3/4 hours sleep out of her then give her a bottle but the second half of the night is a nightmare! Wriggling, grunting making all kind of noises, seems to calm if I put my face next to her and stroke face. Could end up doing this 7 or 8 times in a 3 hour period then we are back up!

This is not going to help you but this all sounds pretty normal to me for 9 weeks. Do you have a sling or carrier? My son had a good proportion of his naps like that at that stage, and H used to take him out for a walk in the evening in the carrier to help settle him. It will pass, you’re doing a great job

Another vote for the sling here. Can you do the pram and wheel it in? I've never had the patience for the shushing and patting all day, so would try to do the first nap 'properly' then do whatever worked for the rest of the day!
