3 month old driving me mad

So my DS is 3 months old now and up until now has been a reasonably good sleeper (most nights he would sleep from 7-11, have a dream feed then sleep until around 4am, have his night feed then sleep again until 7am). However the past week he has been refusing his milk day and night so I decided to extend the time between feeds to 4 hours and up the volume to 6oz. This has gone really well as he is now eating a normal amount again, however, the night before last (4 days after starting his new eating routine) he decided to feed every hour, refused to lie in his Moses basket, fought sleep even when in my arms and pushed me to the point of madness. I had to ask my DH to take him for a bit as I was becoming irrationally angry at my poor baby's refusal to sleep. What do you think is wrong? Is there anything I can do to stop this happening again as I don't think I can deal with it 3 nights in a row!!!
