Lack of sleep

So I'm just wondering if anybody else that has continuous broken sleep has been suffering with body aches? My little one is 9 months and iv had broken sleep since I was pregnant. I most days for several months now feel so achy. Arms, legs and back. I'm wondering if this could be due to just general lack of sleep over period of time or just part of looking after a baby. P.s had bloods done twice and all come back normal.

My daughter is 1 and has never slept
through. I'm constantly achey, and for the last couple of months have backache for the first time ever in my life (I'm over 40 and have never had back problems). I think it's related to the sleep deprivation, if that helps.

I would say it's more than likely all linked. Sleep deprivation really effects your body and your mind. Be kind to yourself and rest when you can. It won't be like this forever.

My aches (back, shoulders, hips) definitely got bad around 6-9 months, just when sleep deprivation was getting unbearable. I put a lot of it down to dc getting heavier and lack of sleep not giving my body the time and rest it needed to repair.
I visited the gp and they assessed and referred me to physio as felt my hips particularly hadn't settled back to normal post pregnancy. I've only had 2 sessions so far but it's definitely helping.
So I'd say it could be the sleep but maybe gp to rule out alternatives?

Yh I'm currently going through the sleep regression stage and sometimes I'm up 5 times in the night so defiantly not getting enough rest.

Yes definitely. Everything aches - shoulders, back, knees, legs. I think it's all related. DS does not sleep through and has recently had the 6 month sleep regression. He wouldn't sleep for any period of time unless in my arms. He didn't sleep for longer than half an hour at any point. The last two nights have been slightly better. Fingers crossed that we are coming to the end of it, as I can't go on with such broken sleep.

Yes absolutely, back, legs, thighs. Feel sick a lot! It definitely is related.

I had something similar when I was using my sling to hold my LO. Are you using a sling? It may be worth mentioning to your doctor anyway? Also, don't use dr google as I am sooo guilty of doing this and winding myself up to believe the worst!

Jadejade · 08/10/2018 20:59

No I'm not using anything like that. I'm soo bad for doctor Google. I should learn it's never a good idea.
