12 month old’s sleep

DD is 12.5 months old. After a rocky start her sleep (day and night) was great, and until a few weeks ago looked like this:

Up around 6.15
Nap 3 hours later, for 1.5 hours
Awake for 3.5 hours
Nap for 1 hour, sometimes a bit longer
Bedtime at 18.45.

Then it all went funny. She had chickenpox, and her dad decided to take away the Sleepyhead pillow bit that was in her cot. She also (fairly late) started crawling.

Now when we put her down we get her sitting up, crying and just not settling unless we stroke her for an extended time, whereas before she’d go down without a squeak. Naps are worse than nights. I recognise that she’s older, so I’ve tried increasing the length of time awake, but it doesn’t help consistently. Any ideas, anyone? I’m really against endless stroking/rocking because then it just becomes another thing we need to wean her off.

Could be seperation anxiety - really she is just looking for some comfort that’s all she needs you won’t have to do it forever.
