6 month old crying in night

Hello, my DS wakes after midnight and screams for hours (last night 1-4) ... he won't be soothed by anything other than boob and then won't go down in his cot. He is cutting teeth at present, could this be it? Breaks my heart that I can't sooth him through cuddling

Only thing that worked for my eldest daughter when she was that age was co sleeping and breastfeeding on Demand I’m afraid. Younger daughter was less hard to please and would be soothed by patting etc but if your baby is getting hysterical and no ones sleeping I would recommend co sleeping. Saved my sanity!

Thanks @ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName , we have tried that but co sleeping doesn't seem to work either, we all end up keeping one another awake. Will give t another go. People keep saying I'm making a rod for my own back with co sleeping too..

Have you tried giving pain medication as well?

It's normal that milk soothes them though. It's not just about food.

People can say that all they like but unless they're going to do something constructive to support you and baby you should jolly well ignore them. Do whatever you need to get you through. It will get better eventually Oh, and yes to Calpol!
