Hi Everyone,
Ewan the Dream Sheep just isn't cutting it anymore. Is there such a thing as a continuous plug in white noise machine? I can't seem to find one online.
Any help much appreciated!
Thank you

There are loads on amazon.

I have this one:
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01NBSUCZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_lU6IBbK4RWTVS?tag=mumsnetforum-21

Amazon have this one. It's got a 7 hour timer so you could reset it when you go to bed

Continuous white noise?

I just used to put a white noise app on my ipod and leave it in my son's room.

MaeBug · 02/09/2018 10:28

Fab, thank you. That one didn't come up on my searches. Here's hoping for sleep sometime soon!

We use the sound sleeper app. We used an old iPhone so Dd could have it in her room.

ToftheB · 02/09/2018 10:34

We just use an untuned fm/am radio for old school white noise.

White noise has really worked for us, little one has been a 7-7 sleeper since about 4mths.

I have an app and also a Hummy thing for when we are out and about. I’m not sure if the baby actually needs it now but I’m too scared to try taking it away!

MaeBug · 02/09/2018 11:23

7-7 sounds like a dream! Excuse the pun!

Good idea about the untuned radio too, thanks all!

We just downloaded a white noise 'song' from iTunes for the iPad (though a phone with music app would work too!) and leave it playing on its own playlist. It's only about 50 secs long but it's loopable so just plays on and on with no fade in/out. Cost 99p! If you turn off the WiFi and dim the screen on your device, the battery will last for nights on end.

DH (terrible sleeper) has had this for 10 years. It is quite expensive but you just plug it in and it makes white noise all night - you can vary the volume/tone. There are many similar/cheaper ones available online. He swears by it - we have to take it on holiday with us....

Bananarama12 · 02/09/2018 11:55

We have the same as WooYa.
You can also put in on continuous.

ididyeah · 02/09/2018 11:59

I used the one Childrenofthesun posted - worked a treat with noisy neighbours

FortheloveofJames · 02/09/2018 12:51

I just use a random track from a playlist on Spotify, on repeat constantly on my iPad in his room at max volume. Works a treat
