10 month old waking by sitting up

Please tell me this will pass?!

His sleep has been rubbish in general for well over a month now. But the current issue is that he wakes- regularly- crying inconsolably and more often than not we'll find him sitting up in his cot. It's not as if sitting is a new skill- he's crawling and pulling himself up to standing during the daytime.

Whyyyyyy? Weighted blanket anyone?! Hmm

I never found mine lying down if they were crying from the time they could sit. 3yo still sits up now.

It isn't the cause of the crying btw and doesn't matter. You just cuddle them, lie them down and repeat and off you go

Same as Milly. I think the issue is the waking/crying rather than the sitting. I hope it passes soon for you, could it be teething pain perhaps?

DS went through a phase of this. He was sitting himself up in his sleep and then getting stuck there, he didn’t know how to lie himself back down. He got it eventually after a few weeks. Plenty of trips upstairs during the evening and night time wake ups to enjoy for a few weeks. Now he flops himself back down while he’s still asleep. Sometimes he nuts the cot sides as a fun treat.
