Waking due to hunger?

My 8 month old daughter woke up about half past 5 this morning, coo-ed for about half an hour and then started crying. I fed her and she seemed tired, so I put her back to bed. She then did a poo, so I changed her nappy and put her back to bed again (it was about 6.50 by then). She went back to sleep after a few minutes and slept until about 7.50.

Do you think she woke up due to hunger? I know if she wakes at that time crying then it's because she's hungry, but she was quite happy for half an hour.

did she take a full feed? If so, she was probably hungry. She may have wakened for a different reason in the first place and then after a while realised she was a bit peckish!! (had it been a while since her last feed?)

She only had 100 ml, which is why I was not sure it was hunger. Her last bottle had been at 7.30 yesterday evening though.

I would really like for her to not wake up quite so early and so I was trying to work out why she was waking up to see if there is anything I can do about it!

Was it getting light in her room - have you got very good blackout? Or maybe it was a bit cold in her room? I find DS's room is really warm when he goes to bed but have noticed that the temperature in there drops considerably in the early morning.
