How many naps dose your one year old have, wondering weather I should be dropping from 2 down to 1?

My DD was napping 9/9.30am - 11am then 1pm-3pm from about 7 months old through to 20/22 months old. So no nap transition to one nap until she was nearly 2 years old.

The average age to drop to one nap is around 18 months old.

Oh really think I might try and hold of for a while,I was thinking that the extra nap could be affecting his night time sleep

It depends what works for you baby. DS was on 2 naps a day at 12 months but went down to 1 a couple of months after because that's what worked for him.

If she's happy with 2 naps I'd say don't change it yet but if she doesn't seem tired for her morning nap drop down to one longer nap more in the middle of your baby's day x

I've just attempted the move from one to two and she wasn't over the moon about it so I've gone back. I love having the time to do stuff around the house (watch tv) and prepare dinner etc so I'm in no rush to push it.

Mine both went down to one nap a day at a year old but they were fighting the second nap by then. And I put them to bed really early if their single nap was short or they seemed tired. Before CBeebies even ended sometimes 😮

10/11 months old DS dropped to one nap. It was a long process over about 3 weeks, some days one long nap, sometimes he needed 2 if he had a short morning nap. It took another couple of weeks for him to build up to a long lunch time nap of 2-3 hours. If we are out all day he will have 2 short naps usually in the car.
