My 8 month old wakes after 2.5 hours of going to bed at 7pm. After that she will then go through until 2, then wake around 6.30-7am but sometimes wakes at 4.30ish for a feed and goes back down.

Her sleep has been a long journey and seems to be always changing... But I thought babies do a longer stint the first part of the night? Anyone else have this?

All babies are different. Some will sleep 7-11 and then wake hourly all night, others will wake hourly from 7 and then sleep later in the night. Mine has always done each variation at different parts of her life. She now sleeps through at 19 months. It might feel like a long time but after a year things get much easier.
