Is this the 4 month sleep regression?

Is this the 4 month sleep regression? My LO is 16 weeks and for the past 3 days he has been waking up in the middle of the night way before he usually would. We do our usual night routine and he is in bed by 6:46/7pm. He would usually wake at 1am, 4am and 6/7am for a feed. HOWEVER!!! for the past few days he has been going to bed at his usual time, but he will wake up crying at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. He eventually settles himself back to sleep, but I'm wondering why he is waking up at the exact same time two nights in a row?

If this is the sleep regression, how can I expect it to last? and should I change his routine somehow?

Only thing to do it to ride it out. Am heading into it with 14 week old DS - he was up every 1.5 hours from 1ish and is going through a phase of not napping for more than 30 minutes at a time. Am hoping he deals with it better than DD, who didn’t sleep reliably until she was 2.5!

Just do whatever gets you both the most sleep is my advice - be it cosleeping, napping together, whatever works! It’s just a phase....

Thanks. It must be a phase, just so funny how you think you have some kind of a routine down and just like that they switch it up on you.

When you’d say he eventually settle himself do you leave him to it? The regression coincides with spurts so he may also be hungry.
