Separation anxiety and night wakings

My 7MO has developed a bad case of separation anxiety and now wakes up every hour or hour-and-a-half to be breastfed at night.

She is sleep-trained and was doing 3-hour intervals before, but now going to bed is also a production, with much wailing and gnashing of teeth, though we follow the same routine she is used to.

Any advice on how I can reassure her to make her sleep better? She does sleep right next to my bed, in her cot, so she knows I'm there - but it's like she keeps checking I haven't gone away!

Hi... no suggestions but wanted to let you know it's the same in this house. Hell! Plus teething and an illness! We're trying to ride it out, my take on it is it will hopefully pass and if you can reassure your baby you are there for them then it will be worth tons in future. My OH does help settle her a lot though, I tend to cause more wailing as she just wants boob but won't settle once she's off it.

Thanks, catheroooo, it helps to hear a sympathetic voice (so to speak).
