anyone tried this and suceeded?

my toddler will be 2 in october and i would love a full nights sleep without having to do controlled crying

I read the book- but tbh - it didn't really tell you what to do - or was it just me being thick??
I've been looking at the baby whisperer which is a bit more practical I think. Although I think my ds is still waking due to hunger at the mo - so don't want to try cc or pu/pd yet.

I have to agree TracyK, It wasn't big on practical advice. So we went for the path of least resistance & are co-sleeping! Probably not what you want to hear though katzguk...
