How to get baby in a sleep pattern?

Hi!
My 10wk old was in such a good habit from about 4wks. He would have a feed (bottle fed) around 10pm and sleep through until at least 6am. Over the last week he has started having his feed around 10pm but waking at 4:30am for another feed and not settling again! Any tips? Is this a normal thing that babies change their routine? Are we not feeding him enough perhaps? (Although he isn’t searching for food after his feeds) thank you!

Totally normal to need to feed at night at that age. You've just been lucky so far!

And many of us would feel like we were having a full night's sleep on that much

My baby is 6 months and I'd LOVE it if he slept that well!

Ok thank you, I know we are lucky as some babies wake every couple of hours it’s just when you think your getting a good night sleep and then it goes backwards it’s hard to adjust. Here’s to the 4am feeds then 😅

Baby sleep often gets worse as well as better I'm afraid and you will get this kind of response from a lot of people who have never had it that good....

And you're still in the fourth trimester, very very tiny still and a lot of developmental change to come

So I’m happy when my 23 month old is only up once for a quick resettling or some milk or water... this is the best it’s been since about 14 weeks when he slept through a couple of times.
I’m afraid you might get limited sympathy on the sleep board Grin
Honestly, that’s still a block of 6 hours for you followed by another couple before morning. You’ve been really fortunate up until now but I can see how going backwards is frustrating. It is standard though, babies sleep isn’t linear, typically with major regressions around 4 months, 9 months and 18 months due to their development. Although if like us you never come out of the 4 month you don’t tend to notice the next two....!
