I'm a first time mum and my little boy is almost 10 weeks old.
We've been trying to get into a bedtime routine for a couple of weeks (maybe a little early?)
He naps quite well during the day, I put him in his moses basket in the living room as soon as I notice he's getting tired and he seems to settle himself most of the time. However on a night he wont settle unless he's rocked. This can sometimes take an hour, Once he's settled he stays in his moses basket until we go up to bed.
He's quite tall and is almost growing out of his moses basket, I know the guidelines say he should be sleeping in the same room as us until he's 6 months - would it be safe to have him have daytime naps in his crib upstairs with the video monitor on?
I was also thinking of maybe doing his bedtime routine (bath, massage, PJ's, bottle) then trying to settle him upstairs in his crib rather than bringing him back down with us?
Really not sure what we should be doing- I'm worried we will be setting bad habits by rocking/cuddling him to sleep on a night?
Thanks
