Hello! I'm new here, but just wondered what time your 2 year olds go to bed at night and wake up in the morning...........my DD goes at seven but wakes at 5.45am (far too early!!!)

my ds who is 21months goes to bed at 8pm and is wide awake at 5am changed bedtimes tried everything thats just the time he wakes up :P

nic06 · 02/06/2007 06:26

Thanks Benandalex, was wondering if making bed time a bit later would help - but perhaps not!

my 4 year old used to be the same now he will happily stay in bed til 8am on the weekends so i know it will end eventually lol

Can't wait for that then. I don't mind too much, but she wakes my dd1 (9) up and that just seems so unfair. Thanks again

dd2 is almost 2 and she goes to bed between 6.45 and 7pm and wakes between 6.30 - 7am

nic06 · 02/06/2007 07:02

You are so lucky! What does she sleep in the day?

She always sleeps from about 12ish to 2ish

ChipButty · 02/06/2007 07:38

Bed 6.30-7. Nap 12.00-2 or 2.30. Wakes 6.30-7am. She loves her bed. Unfortunately DS is a v early riser.

Trinityrhino · 02/06/2007 07:41

bed between 7 and 7.30
wakes between 7.30 and 8

she used to get up at 6am though till she turned 2
I didn't do anything she just started sleeping later

DD is 2 and goes to bed around 7pm and wakes up 5:30-6am. Very very rarely she gives us a lie-in to 6:30am (woooo).

maxbear · 02/06/2007 20:15

DD is 2 years 4 months goes to bed at 7 wakes between 6.30 and 7. Dropped her nap all of a sudden about a month ago but was waking more like 6 so I prefer it this way.

tortoise · 02/06/2007 20:21

DD2 is 2.10 and goes to bed around 7pm wakes around 7am.
Not daytime nap. She dropped that a very long time ago !

chocolateshoes · 02/06/2007 20:26

bed 6.45pm - will often sing for 30 mins - usually wakes 7.45am but sometimes not until 8.15 Still has lunchtime sleep of 1hr to 1 and a half hours. What do you do with your DS at 5.45??

Marne · 02/06/2007 20:29

my dd's age 15 months and 3 years go at 7am and wake 6.30am

nic06 · 02/06/2007 21:21

I wasn't sure whether to try and drop the daytime sleep, or whether it was too early (only just two). She still seems to need it though and drops straight off.
We end up bringing her downstairs and sitting quietly on the sofa, so that she doesn't wake DD1!
