Is this the 4-month sleep regression?

Up until two weeks ago, my 16 week old baby was sleeping 8-4/5, having a quick feed and then going back to sleep until 6 or 7. Since then, she has started waking up 3 or 4 times a night and wriggling around a lot. We thought perhaps she was becoming too big for her bednest so we put her in a bigger cot, but that doesn’t seem to have made a difference. She wakes up and seems hungry, so we offer her some milk but she takes just a few sips and then falls asleep in our arms. It seems like she needs the physical comfort to go to back to sleep.
We have tried not picking her up straight away and leaving her for a few minutes, but the cries escalate and I don’t like leaving her crying for long.

Does this sound like the 4-month sleep regression to you? If so, any ideas on how to deal with it? For those of you with babies who have gone through this, how long did it last?

Thanks all!

Could well be. Deal with it as you are doing.

Duration varies. Don't think DS ever really got back to where he was til after the 8-10 mo

I think, reading your post @Stuckinmyownhead , my DD is having a 3mth sleep regression! Possibly the 4mth one cone early!!
She was sleeping just as yours was but now doing exactly the same thing! And is grumpy as hell in the daytime and feeding more frequently during the day too.

I'm clinging onto the hope that, as she got herself into the original lovely routine, she'll slot into another decent sleep routine again??? 🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
