My LG is is 3 months (15 weeks) and I feel like she's hardly awake. She sleeps from 7pm-8am then has a 2 hour nap from 9. She then wakes up for a feed and hardly ever manages an hour before she's asleep again. I stimulate her as much as I can. It's a real struggle to keep her awake for a while (at least 1.5hrs) before bed time but we manage it, usually resulting in an overtired baby by the time we get round to bath bottle and bed.

Can anyone think of why she might be so sleepy? I thought she'd be out of this newborn phase by now.

If you are worried- seek GP advice

For me, this would be a dream though!

@rubyroot ha it truly is the dream. Although, I read somewhere that if your baby needs a nap around an hour after waking then they're not getting enough sleep at night. Surely 13 hours is enough?! Hmm

Sounds normal? I wouldn't force her to stay awake if it's making her overtired.

Sounds to me like you have a good routine and a contented baby, they need a lot of sleep at this age and as long as she is feeding well and alert when she is awake I wouldn't worry x enjoy it OP as it can and probably will all change, regularly, from here on in! Xxx
