Nap help

I've posted a couple of times about four month sleep regression and general sleeping. I know there are no easy answers and no baby is the same but I'm just looking for opinions of what to do next. So my DS is 18 weeks and night time sleep in generally ok as in he will settle in the cot and resettle with a dummy (a hurdle to conquer another day!) or with a feed somewhere between 1.30am and 4am.
Day time naps have been a struggle so for the past two weeks I've been getting him to nap on me or in the pram which means he is having 1.5 hour nap at 8am ish, another hour at 1ish and then another longish nap at 3ish.
I don't mind him napping on me but it would be great to get stuff done in this time. Up until now when I put him down either in his cot or poddlepod I'd get a max of 20 minutes or he just won't sleep, despite the fact he can happily go down drowsy in his cot at night and have a 7 - 8 hour stint of sleep.
So and advice on the day time naps? Do I persevere and try and settle him, keep letting him nap on me in the hope he learns what a decent nap is or any other ideas?
I know at four months bad habits don't last but just after some ideas.

Sorry to can't help, but following with interest as I'm going to be going through the 4 month regression soon...

When DS was that age I just let him nap on me or I’d pop him on the bed next to me and snooze as well
