Tiny newborn in heatwave

Can anyone help me please...
What would you dress a newborn in at night if it's 24-26 in the bedroom?

I have looked online and apparently a short sleeve onesie and a 0.5 tog sleeper/blanket is advised....
He is only 5.9lbs so we were told to keep an extra layer on him
Just seems really hot.
Got him in a long sleeve long leg onesie and no blanket at the moment.

Mine is wearing a short sleeve bodysuit and a sleeping bag. The temperature drops during the night and he gets chilly with no bag. I’m still under a blanket so the baby should be too.

Mines just over 6lb and in vest/sleepsuit and wrapped in a large muslin cloth as a blanket.

I’d just put him in a vest and maybe long sleeves or trousers too ie arms or legs clear no covers

He’ll be way too hot in what you are dressing him in

Is he big enough for a sleeping bag? They have minimum weights to be safe to use

We have preemie newborn triplets and we put them in a short sleeve vest and a light cotton sleeping bag called a Gro Snug light - they're in the sale in mothercare at the moment and can be used from 5 lb. I still monitor how warm they feel throughout the night by feeling their chest or back.

At the peak of the heatwave neonatal had them in vest, sleep suit and two blankets!! Now they're home and can regulate their temperature they don't need quite so much.

Best advice I had from my health visitor is your baby will feel the temperature the same as you so dress them how you are dressed. So if I had shorts and a tshirt for bed and a light duvet/blanket I’d have the same sort of layers for baby.
