4 Month Sleep Regression

How long did it last?

I know the leap itself is about 5 weeks but the sleeping side in general - did your LO’s sleep go haywire for the whole leap or just some of it? Did you (God forbid), still experience disrupted sleep even after the leap ended?

It’s only been 3 nights. I’m probably going to regret asking this aren’t I?!

Mines been going on for about 3 weeks 🤦‍♂️

How is yours taking form?

malvinandhobbes · 31/07/2018 20:32

Until the last molar came in.
She slept through the night at 4 months, not again for over a year.

Sorry. OP. Hope it works out better for you.

ChampooPapi · 31/07/2018 20:41

It lasted 4 weeks then back to about 8 pm ish until 4ish, feed then down till 7 ish

Sorry a lot of 'ish' there but just get through the next few weeks and it'll probably get a lot better then back to good sleeping nights by 5/6 months. If not then cross that bridge later, but your a woman in need of positive affirmation and hope so wanted to post a good news experience. It was really only bad for 2 weeks, just more unsettled after that. One day at a time op and itll be over soon, all the best to you

@emvy we're on night 5 and it's slowly getting worse 😭 last night we couldn't even put him in the cot without him screaming. Hoping it goes quickly for both of us x

chickacharlie · 31/07/2018 21:24

For us it lasted about two months. Before that he woke twice a nice, during that he woke 5/6 times a night, and after that he went back to twice a night. WineThanks

Thank you for all your replies!

4months, he’s gone from 3 wake ups to waking every 45 minutes to an hour. We do have a 2-3 hour sleep at the start of the night but that’s before I’ve gone to bed!

malvinandhobbs, oh gaaad! I do think he’s teething as well so don’t know if that’s making things worse.

ChampooPapi, very good advice. Thank you!

Papillion86, oh no that sounds awful! Sending strength!

chickcharlie, I’m glad yours went back to their previous pattern. 5 weeks seems such a long time but I know it’ll fly by really. Maybe just not the night times!
