3 day old FF wants to suck

My 3 day old baby is exclusively formula fed.
He is trying to suck his hands, fabric etc t the point where we think he is hungry so give him a bottle only for him to just play with the teat.
Can he have a dummy?

Of course he can have a dummy. You're his Mum, you must do what you think is best for him.
Try it and see how he goes. If he takes to it, great. If not try something else

He's very young yet but keep an eye out for silent reflux. Second giving him a dummy- of course you can!

Gave him a dummy in the night to see what happened. He slept soundly till his next feed.
Did some reading today and apparently it's good to give them a dummy till they are 6 months.
I'm still recovering from a bit of a nightmare week so I didn't know what to do.
