Swaddles

Hi everyone!
Wanted some advice on swaddles. I was told to get my little boy one and it has been a god send.
He is 11 weeks old and has a nice routine. Bath time between 7-7:30 and bed by 8-8:30. After bath he's in his swaddle laid down in his cribs and falls to sleep with out me holding him or rocking him off and sleeps right through until 6am.
Now we have just moved house I've fallen behind on my washing and haven't got around to washing his swaddle yet... and he now keeps waking up in the night crying.
Has anybody else had an issue of using a swaddle and then trying to take it away?? Or is this just a bad couple of nights?
Thanks in advance.

My DS loves his Love 2 Dream swaddle, he is 12 weeks so roughly same age as yours. To be honest when it's dirty I can hand wash it and dry it within a few hours ready for his next sleep or I will put him to sleep on his front and watch him the whole time. I've tried putting him down on his back without it before and his arms just scare him awake so he is not quite ready to be free of the swaddle yet.
