Does teething make them sleep more??

DS slept for a couple of hours this morning - has been up again about 1 1/2 hours.

Just plonked him in his cot whilst I went to the loo (can't be trusted not to do something he shouldn't otherwise!!) and I can't hear him in there

Normally he'd be chattering or whinging so I think he's asleep again.

He's got 4 teeth popping through, has been sleeping soundly at night - is it the teeth wearing him out still today or do we think he's coming down with something?

The next question is - I was about to sort lunch... do I wake him?!!?

If this were DS I'd say he's coming down with something - but all babies are so different!

Actually I found with DS if teething disturbed his night he would sometimes sleep longer in the day. So perhaps it is tooth related. Did he have a bad night?

I'd say peek in and if he's fast asleep don't wake him - he obviously needs it and he'll wake up if he's hungry. If he's only lightly dozing then he'll probably wake up when you crack the door.

pmsl - he's got some patience for a 15 month old!!!

I took your advice and peeked in... and found him sat with the blanket held up covering his face ready to bounce up and say "BOO!"

The look of pleasure on his face makes it seem he'd been waiting for ages.

how gorgeous!

as for the teething, my ds slept less tbh. only sleeps more if he's ill with a virus or something like that...

and if he's asleep I never wake him! just enjoy the peace and quiet!
