Four month DS sleep help

My gorgeous DS is exactly four months old and yep, you guessed it the dreaded four month sleep regression has started argh!!
Up until late week he was sleeping through the night quite nicely but was still rubbish with day time naps.
He is still going down for bed ok but is now waking at 1.30am for a feed, he doesn't need this feed but that seems to be our go to. He then wakes a couple of more times and just wants the dummy put back or a cuddle.
He also won't nap during the day unless he is in the pram or cuddled - I know this is lovely but I really want him to learn to go to sleep on his own. So we have started using a Muslin as a comforter and was thinking of trying "controlled comfort" (just going in giving them a pat and shhing before they start crying then walking away etc)
Soooo any advice, mainly advice on how to get him to settle for day time naps? We're trying dark room, into cot etc but not always feesable being out and about!

I cuddled my baby for every nap until 6 months when he didn't want it anymore. They won't not learn to sleep by themselves because you cuddle them. Honest.

Waking once for a feed and a couple of
times for some comfort is totally normal. He's really still a little baby. Don't force it. He'll grow out of it when he's ready.

Thanks Ladies! I need a bit of perspective and probably need to stop listening to what I think babies should be doing 😀
I mean honestly can he not just read the book and learn 😂

At the worst times I would have him in the pram rocking back and forth in the living room with white noise whilst I watch tv with subtitles 😂 he's 10 months now and has been sleeping in his cot since 7 months. That seems like a lifetime ago. And yes I will tell.you to enjoy the cuddles because I miss them very much!
