My 4 month old girl is always tired. We've hit the dreaded 4 month sleep regression and the last few days managed it well. She's going to bed earlier and waking earlier, but my issue is, she wakes on a morning and she's already tired no matter what time she wakes up! I also make sure she's had her 12 hours at least before I get her up for the day. She's yawning, pulling hair and got hiccups within 10 minutes of waking...

Her naps during the day are awful, 20-30 mins max and it takes some getting her down. Everything I read says they should be having 45-90min naps she has no where near that, and again when she wakes from her nap she's tired and it's a fight to get her down for the next nap .

Basically she's tired and grumpy all day, fights naps and sleep and she just seems miserable all the time. I know if she'd nap for longer she'd be better and Id have my happy baby back!

Anyone else experienced this? Please tell me it's a phase?!
Sorry for the long post and thanks!

I was just reading about this in the ‘wonder weeks’ book. If you haven’t read it, maybe have a look (ihaveitonkibdleo myphone), it’s good for understanding why sleep is suddenly a struggle, what’s happening developmentally and when things might improve! DD is 3 months so haven’t experienced it yet but sounds like it’s normal. Hang in there!

That random bit should read; I have it on kindle on my phone.

I've not read the wonders week book but I do have the app on my phone and track the leaps, we've got 1 day left of the 4th leap. It was a real struggle as I expected, heard from other mums how bad it is!

People keep saying the 4month sleep regression is a phase I really hope so! Also not sure the heat is helping, she's always hot and swearing bless her.
