My almost 10 weeks girl was sleeping in her Moses basket in our bedroom. She getting too big and in few days, we will have to move her to her cot in her room. I know about the recommendations that baby needs to sleep in the same room with parents for first 6 months. We don;t have enough space to move her cotbed to our room.
Did you have any similar experience?
When have you moved your baby to separate room?

Our daughter got too big for her Moses basket well before the 6 month mark so we changed to a beside the bed cot which we didn’t attach to the bed so it was just like a smaller standard cot but still fit in the small space in our bedroom

Ours was the tutti bambino cozee.

Then at over 6 months she went into her full size cot in her own room

So it means buying both but we think worth the investment to keep her in the room with us as long as we wanted and you could always sell it afterwards or buy second hand in the first place (but following guidelines on replace mattress or waterproof mattress cover if second hand)

Is there room for a single mattress in her room?

We moved our bedroom furniture into dd’s room so that we could have her in with us.

We have a single bed in DS room as well as his cot (already had that before I got pregnant) so when we moved him at 4 mo, one of us slept in the room on that with him in cot.

I still sleep part of most nights in it now when I can't face traipsing back after the bazillionth feed (usually about 3am onwards now), but with him trying to starfish or sleep sideways or kick me in the head . He's 13mo
