suddenly needs a night feed

Having been a good sleeper since about 4 months DS has now suddenly (at 10 months) decided he has to have a bottle at night too. He's getting about 600ml milk during the day, plus 3 solid meals and is very active. He doesn't seem to want more food during the day but wolfs down the milk at night (and there's no set time for this - can be 10pm or 4am doesn't seem to make a difference).

Am at a bit of a loss? Any suggestions?

Could it be the heat and he's thirsty rather than hungry? DD - 5.5 months started waking up about a week or 2 ago for a night feed.

I had originally thought that it was that she was hungry, but have given her water the last couple of nights instead of milk and she seems to settle fine after the water.
