Anyone know why?

So my baby is 6 months old next week and has always slept 6pm-5am from being 7 weeks old no problem in her own cot. She's never really been a clingy baby and happily does her own thing.

The last week she has been going to sleep as usual at 6pm but stirs at 9.15pm and sort of sleep cries (doesn't open her eyes) and gets really unsettled until I pick her up and cuddle her. If I put her down she does it again and again!

So now I'm stuck with her sleeping on me and won't go back in her cot but never even opens her eyes to see who's picked her up ...

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anybody know why? How do I help her settle back down by herself? Trying hard not to just put her in my bed!

Could be teething... my daughter is very needy in the night when new teeth are coming through.
