2yr old dropped naps and now in a bed - bedtimes are a nightmare!

So she started climbing out of her cot instead of napping. Naps just aren't happening anymore, she's 27 months old so prob right time. We converted the cot to a bed so now we say goodnight, cuddle and then she gets up and screams at the baby gate in her door. For ages. Repeatedly even tho she's knackered.

She was a dream before, laid down in cot with bottle, cried a bit, got bored and went to sleep.

Now it's a total nightmare. Any clues on what I can do to stop having to sit with her until she sleeps then creep out the room, waking, crying, as infinitum! We never had to sit with her before and she's got to be tired!!

One of mine was like this..

1/ Close the door, scrap the gate
2/ Bedtime routine of bath, brush teeth, story, cuddle
3/ When she bangs/shouts; Go up after 30 secs, 1min, 2mins, 5mins, 10mins etc pick her up put her into bed, say bedtime and leave. No eye contact, no cuddles etc

Should take about 3days of hell

What do I do when she opens the door and runs downstairs every 10 secs?

Just take her back up in silence and put her back in bed, no eye contact. Like I said it’s hell for three days but it works as long as you stick to that
