Aargh! How much sleep do three year olds need?

10 hours? 11 hours? NONE?!?!?!

Mine has occasional naps (it’s like she’s ready to drop it altogether but somedays she clearly needs it) and she has went from 11 hours night sleep to now 6 hours some nights but on the whole 8 hours.

The kid is crazy! Bonkers! Totally active - on the go, shouts, screams, very little to no patience, bossy, assertive, physically active and sings constantly. She’s a VERY happy child who always laughs. But I don’t know where her energy comes from because she eats little and is incredibly fussy. She’s not ‘bright’ (not one of those parents) but she isn’t developmentally immature either in a lot of respects.

Bed is at 7:30. After story I go through to her older brother and read him his story and then go downstairs. She follows me after two minutes! Back and forth until 11pm some nights and THEN she bloody wakes at 2:30am ready to start the day. Still awake at 6am and by 6:45am she’s asleep which on our work days and her nursery days can f* us all up! Confused I would then understand if she’s tired in the afternoon but sometime she isn’t and we go through the SAME again.

I have an acquaintance who saw a sleep consultant but DH would absolutely NOT entertain that idea as he’s tight fisted. (Yorkshireman! Hmm )

Any suggestion???
