My DS is the same. Every 2 hours and it is such hard work! I guess he must need it for hydration though so I don't want to test him without it either. He is so sleepy in the daytime in this weather too.

I feel your pain BlushThanks

crazychemist · 03/07/2018 14:30

You're not alone! It'll drop off soon enough when it cools down

Jellybabie3 · 03/07/2018 14:48

Try 10 week old breastfeed twins in this weather... I'm never sleeping again... 🔫

willisurvive3under2 · 03/07/2018 14:58

breastfed, sorry

Choice4567 · 03/07/2018 15:15

Yep that's as much as we're managing too! The bedroom is so hot overnight even with the window open

Just a bit cooler would be good please!

Jellybabie3 · 03/07/2018 21:45

@willisurvive3under2 oh......you win.

Same again here tonight. Put tin foil on the windows. Room has dropped 2 degrees, but hes already woke at 2 hour mark since bedtime. Sigh.

I love the hot summer days but the nights arent great. Whats frustrating as it gets so cool downstairs in the evening with the windows open but I have to shut DS window else the birds wake him at 4am....i cant leave his bedroom door open as its too light...haha.

Fx for a better night for you all tonight Grin

Yep! On second feed since putting him to bed at 7.30. Sick of this heat! It's affecting my DD too. Ready for it to be cooler again! Just grateful I'm not pregnant in it...

Jellybabie3 · 05/07/2018 01:27

Oh good point!

I’ve heard a wet sheet in front of an open window helps cool the room down? Just an idea! Hope you get some sleep... 🤞🏻

ChefsFloozie · 05/07/2018 01:55

Yup, gone from 3-5 hour stretches back to 2. Guessing the heat too. Tried a bit of jiggling just now to see if he would go back to sleep without feeding but there was no way!

Jellybabie3 · 05/07/2018 03:55

Hmm ok. We went for tin foil on the window. The room dropped to 25C (as opposed to 28.9C) before bed. Climbed tp 27C as soon as I shut them at bedtime though Confused.

Sorry there are so many in this boat! Hopefully we will.get a well deserved break in a couple of weeks (!!). I hope your able to catch up in the day? Or are atleast enjoying the sunshine Smile

Me! Every 1-2 hours

But, she was already waking up that much (in fact slightly more) and not feeding so at least now she wants a feed each time the wake ups feel more worthwhile!

ChefsFloozie · 05/07/2018 04:40

I have a 2 year old and a husband who works stupid long hours so no major catch up time. But I hope you're right that all will be well in a couple of weeks!! And that you can get a rest at some point jelly

Goostacean · 05/07/2018 10:49

Gosh it’s mad... I’m currently based in S America so it’s winter here, but we’re back for a long visit in 2 weeks. Not sure how we’re going to cope with the weather! Hope you all get some respite soon 😊

Jellybabie3 · 05/07/2018 22:40

Hmm still 28C in DS room although only one wake up since 7pm...I am expecting the next one imminently. Have to say though, the last feed struck me as short and comfort-like as opposed to the gulping sessions of late....I hope we arent heading to the habit wake and feed stage again. Irrespective, of course I will feed him if he wont settle any other way atleast until it cools down.

Hope its abit fresher wherever you all are!

Have a dodgy tummy myself and worried about dehydration - will my body keep producing milk nicely even if a bit low on fluids? Little one keen to drink so I hope getting enough

Also have totally lost 40 mins?! I switched sleep tracker to “wake” 47 mins ago but can only remember lifting her out of basket and checking nappy in the last few mins and rushing to loo before putting baby to boob (where she still is)

Jellybabie3 · 06/07/2018 02:13

Oh no. Hope you are alright @Wednesdayevening. I remember having gastro for 2 days a few months ago. I couldnt go 10min without going to the loo. It was the pits! Keep drinking and feel better soonFlowers

Us too. It got to 36 in the shade today. Still 30ish inside. Have a fan trained on DD cot but then she's too cold...then too hot...then too cold...and she's got heat rash...and wants comfort boob every sleep cycle. Supposed to cool down later, I can't wait.
