Sleep advice for a 1y/o

My lb has just turned 1y (13m) and has a 1 hour nap twice a day in his pram.
He generally goes to bed between 6-8pm and sleeps til 4-6am. He does wake a few times in the night, but more for reassurance we are there, so I am not worried about this.

I am asking for advice because we have another baby due in Oct, and I'm starting to worry about bedtimes!

What I would appreciate advice on is the following:

  • Getting him to sleep initially without being so dependant on us (can physically fight sleep - can take a couple of hours, a couple of bottles, copious yawning and rubbing his eyes, screaming but still won't give in) as he needs rocking and cuddling to sleep and can't settle himself. He won't have a dummy either.
  • waking later than 4am

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
