Early rising - what helped?

Hi all
My twins are 10months old and we are currently in the midst of gentle sleep training to break co-sleeping habits. They were always pretty good sleepers but would wake at 5am ish at which point I would bring them to my bed because I couldn’t face a 5am start in the dead of winter. Fast forward months and both started waking anytime for 2am basically for mummy cuddles. We are now addressing this and things are going well - co-sleeping is down to a minimum but we are back to 5am starts. I’m loathe to repeat my past mistakes and bring them in to bed with me at this time. Looking at this page, it seems early rising is a really common issue. Has anyone had any success in breaking this and getting their baby to sleep later? How, what worked?

Thank you

I’m in the process of trying to improve it! Things which are slowly workin are

Short nap 1 and late nap (so 30-45 Mins)

Not getting him until 7am so he’s in a dark room and body clock gets reset - I’m lucky that he doesn’t cry until 645/7 even if he wakes early he will just chat and sing to himself! The odd time he has cried I’ve patted him to calm him down and left and tried keep him in there for as long as possible. It’s slowly shifted from 5 to 6am now....but taken a good few weeks...

But he’s done it before and then stopped and went to 730 wake up and now done it again! So think he actually just likes to wake at 5am ! So not sure how long 6am will last but 6 is just fine for me! (Although his 730 starts we’re a dream!!)
