My 8 month old is really unsettled in the heat and it doesn't matter what a do to try and cool me house down nothing seems to work. My bedroom is the hottest room in the house and even when it cools down on a night time my bedroom is still 23 degrees with the windows open can the little one just sleep in a vest without a blanket on with the windows open as his arms and legs normally feel really cool when he's asleep I'm unsure what his chest and that feel like

Mine can't sleep without his blanket so he's just in a nappy at bedtime right now.

I'll give that a try because mines the same likes to have a blanket or something on him a just don't want him over heating but don't want him getting to cool either a want to keep him just right

Just in case you don't know the general tips for keeping a house cool (although if it's only 23 you are doing better than me so probably doing this already) keep windows and curtains closed all day while the sun is out and only open in evening when it is cool outside and put a frozen bottle of water on the window sill to cool the air coming in (only feasible if you have space in your freezer)

My house in generally 27 degrees at night atm so I feel your pain! And we have to choose between noisy students waking us up if the windows are open or thoroughly baking if we keep it closed!

Thanks for the tips and when I've got the windows open on a night time there's always people walking past and all the cars aswell he's just not used to the heat with him only being 8 month and being born in the winter he's not sure what to do with him self

23 degrees is not that hot. I'm paranoid about overheating my baby but she would be really cold if she was in just a vest in 23 degree room. She wears a long sleeved vest and a 1 togsleeping bag at least in a 23 degree room. We are in France and it's 30 degrees in our room. Tried putting her down in just a nappy but she kept crying so put her in a short sleeved vest and she's better settled.

He gets really hot in 23 degrees a put him to bed in just a nappy and blanket lay night and he was fine
