I honestly just want to jump off a bridge. DD has started completely refusing to go in the bedroom at night. If I take her in when she's asleep, she'll run out of the bedroom crying as soon as she wakes up. Nothing works: routine, night lights, even leaving the light for a night or two until she's used to it. Co-sleeping makes no difference. She just won't go/ stay in there, even though she wants to play in there during the day. We're sharing a bedroom for now because the other bedroom isn't suitable for use, so it's not as though she'll be in there alone. She says she's scared of the dark but keeping the bedroom light on doesn't make a difference. She's a bit too little to understand "monster spray" and other methods of tackling fear of the dark. What she wants is to sleep on the sofa in the living room with me all night (impossible because my back won't stand it!). She's a really good child during the day and is pretty good at boundaries, but bedtime just turns into a long overtired meltdown (she's not overtired when we start bedtime but she sure is by the end). I just can't do this anymore.
