Are you a new mother who also has an older child?
Can you spare an hour to share your experiences on the effects of sleep disturbance on your parenting?
Arguably the present research into parenting and sleep does not take into account the personal experiences of mothers told in their own words. This study aims to explore how mothers themselves feel about the effects of parental sleep on their parenting practices.
We are currently running a study at the University of Edinburgh which seeks to explore the experiences of mothers with new babies and how changes in sleep quality may have affected the parenting of their older children.
The study consists of one 30-60 interview. That can be done at your convenience at home, at the university or over skype. Audio will be recorded however participants will be anonymous.
We are looking for mothers with babies under one year as well as at least one older child. If you or someone you know would like to participate please get in touch at: [email protected]
Thank you!
