Argh! 4.30am wake-up!!!

My 9 month old was getting into a decent sleep pattern after a patchy start. Down by 7pm (feed then her dad puts her down). Usually sleeps until 2/3am at which point she wakes and demands a feed - so dad can't put her back down, but then I just co-sleep with her until she wakes usually at 6.30-7.30 (her first nap is usually at 9am for an hour). But the past few days she's been waking at 4.30am, absolutely full of beans, and won't go back to sleep. Any idea why this might be and what I can do about it? Confused

Do you have black out blinds?

Seahawk80 · 15/06/2018 04:34

DS was doing this, it's killer. We resorted to sleep training and also double blackout blinds - a stick on and a roller. He's still asleep but I'm awake out of habit 🤦‍♀️

My little three month old is a terrible sleeper anyway but today has woken up especially full of beans and ready to party at 4am!

Must be something in the air

In my case it's a combination of bright mornings, dawn chorus and menopause.

Have you considered when her day time naps are? I am definitely no expert but maybe she is outgrowing one of her nap times? Or maybe her last nap of the day could now be shorter?
