What to do when baby outgrows Grosnug swaddle bag?

I have posted before about our active nighttime baby who wakes every 45 mins or so. She usually does one 2 hour stint at beginning of the night but it didn’t happen last night and I think it’s because I used a normal Grobag with arms out, instead of one of her Grosnugs (can button arms in)

I think she wants to sleep and the Grosnug bag makes a slight difference by stopping startle reflex at either end of the night when she’s harder to settle - but she’s nearly outgrown it. She’s 11lb and it says up to 12lb but I’d say she’ll have outgrown it before reaching that weight

Are there any swaddle bag alternatives or do we need to wean her off that now? She’s 11 weeks so had hoped to carry on until 4 months or so...

I had this dilemma too as I had been swaddling mine in the gro swaddle but she outgrew it. Swaddle me do big swaddles which fasten with Velcro. I bought one but didn't end up using it. I just put her in a sleeping bag and it was fine! Arms did flail a bit but settled after a few days. I remember those early days when they start doing a couple of hours at the beginning. Now, she's 4.5 months and she moves around everywhere which actually helps her sleep

Have a look at Love to Dream. They have a product called the SwaddleUp. I used it with reasonable success for my son.

Also recommend Love to Dream swaddle bags, which allow them to have their arms up by their heads but still encased within the swaddle bag to limit them flailing about.

Love to dream swaddles all the way
