5 month wonder week sleep regression

Hi all just looking for a bit of advice. My LO is 5 & 1/2 months and exclusively breastfed. He has always been quite a good sleeper - normally down by 7:30, dreamfeed at 10:30 then another feed between 3-4am. We even had a spell between 8 weeks to 13 weeks where he slept 11-6am.
The last two weeks his sleep at night has got worse. (He naps quite well in the day) He has had a cough which I thought was why but he is also going through a leap on wonder weeks. He is waking hourly from about 2am.
From googling I think this is quite common at this age and should pass by 6 months but just wondering if anyone had experienced this and if you had any advice? Thanks 😊

We went though a sleep regression at 3.5-4 months were he woke every two hours all night but napped ok in the daytime. It passed after around 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately its now regressed again into short cat naps in the day and waking at 04:30-5am. I keep telling myself that it wont last forever. Its so exhausting though. DS is now 5 months.

Do you have a way to get baby to sleep (or resettle after a wake up) in the cot?

Hi FATEdestiny, atm I still feed him to sleep. The boob used to work like magic and still does but atm he’s only sleeping 1-2 hours max whereas he always went 4-5 hours before. We have introduced baby porridge as he’s 24 weeks nearly and a big boy but it’s not really helped that much.
I know some say feeding to sleep is an association they need to break but others tell me it’s fine to comfort him like this. It’s the only thing that works although we can sometimes get away with dummy and a cuddle!
Just so tired atm but want to enjoy him as much as possible and not dread evenings!
