Moses basket

Baby girl is 11 weeks + 2 days and is already almost out grown her Moses basket, she's using her legs to also push herself up the basket!
I haven't had her weighed in about 3 weeks but she was 11lb 14oz at last weigh in. Any one else find that their babies have our grown Moses basket quickly I thought they were good for up to six months? I can't leave her in it much longer that's for sure!

I didn't buy a Moses basket for this reason, they just don't last. I got a Tutti Bambini bedside crib instead which is way bigger!

My baby is 8 weeks old and 12lb 7. She has outgrown her pram already, we're into the buggy top now which luckily lies flat so suitable for little babies!! Such a waste of money Confused

Yeah most things I saw whilst pregnant said they only last up to 3 months - we were warned they were a bit of a waste of money but they’re not that expensive and was useful to have downstairs. Even our crib was too small by about 4/5 months.

Yes we have a bed side crib which I've managed to transfer her to at night but she still likes being in Moses basket especially around this time of night, she has out grown lie down part of pushchair and is in seat already. Moses basket was from previous daughter I just replaced mattress don't remember eldest outgrowing it this quickly. Little one is literally almost touching the top !

I hate Moses baskets so I'd never have one. Ds was in his crib until 4 months. He was in the carrycot of the pram until 6 months though.

Our baby outgrew hers after a couple of months. We put her in a travel cot after that until she went into her own cot in her nursery

I am currently pregnant & have been having this dilemma myself as we want baby in our room for approx 6 months and cannot fit a full on cot in our bedroom but i had heard babys tend to outgrow moses baskets by 2 - 4 months depending on size etc and i was trying to find out what a suitable alternative would be. This thread has helped - i have just searched for the tutti bambini crib online and it looks like a better compromise and s suitable for up to 6 months. Think I'll be going for one of these xx

How about a baby box

I got a babybox last year (free-I’m in Scotland) and lasted slightly longer than Moses basket but also outgrown before 6 months.

I have been lent a Moses basket which I thought would last 4-6 months Confused
May need to take up the offer of a next to me crib to borrow after a couple of months!
My friend found a company to hire her bedside crib from, I think she said it was £130 for 8 months? But she then got the offer to buy it or an additional £30 so she did that. Think it still worked out cheaper than buying new though
