Hello everyone!
I was just really wondering.
My son is 5 years old and he's not going to bed till 9pm. I'm really worried if this affects his schooling
I have tried to get him to go to bed early (8pm) but he won't have it. He shares a bed with his younger brother who 2 and a half (3 in September)
The youngest has been going to bed at the same time. Although he does have a nap during the day!

Is this normal?

Was/is for my DD. We’re a family of owls. As a baby she slept midnight till noon. The night before she started school (aged 3) it took until 10:30pm for her to sleep. She self adjusted down to about 9:00pm quite quickly. She’s now 7 and is asleep most school nights by 9:30pm-ish. Sometimes a bit later. She doesn’t need to be up till 7:45am though so gets plenty of sleep.

He has to wake up at 7 well they both do but I'm not sure if it's enough.. how did you get the routine in place x

My 5 year old DD is the same! Used to be 8pm but has crept back until nearly 9pm over the last few months. We have just been on holiday and she has been wanting to stay up until 930pm and is still up by 7.30am! She doesn't seem tired. She just wants to write/play. Brain must be in overdrive!

She just naturally got tired earlier as the school days rolled on. I tried to bring her sleeping time forward for weeks over the summer. Didn’t work. Took about a week and a half of school for her to be tired enough to sleep earlier. (9am-3:15pm is a long day for a 3 year old!)

Think this has started since the summer nights!
His attitude isn't nice either 😪
