Daytime Naps

My 8 week old sleeps 9-9 most nights with 2-3 30 minute change/feed/cuddles. She'll sleep in her Tutti Bambini. She's a dream.

During the day, she'll nap if we are out in the buggy, car seat or sling for as long as we are out.

But when we're at home, she will not sleep anywhere but on me. She normally falls asleep after a breast feed and would happily nap for 2-3 hours. If I try and put her down anywhere, she wakes almost immediately even tho she is put in her cot asleep after a feed at night!! When she wakes up she is obviously still tired and very cranky, usually cries until I can get her back to sleep again.

I try and put her in her pram in the living room but she hates it. We don't use that as her buggy anymore as she didn't like how much she was juggled about. Now she uses the buggy part that lies flat but she is strapped in so more secure. She'll occasionally fall asleep in her bouncer if we are bouncing her but never for longer than 30 minutes. If she's well rested, she'll happily sit in her bouncer or lie on her mat for quite some time cooing and kicking!

If she doesn't get her morning nap of 2 hours she is just a fussy little monkey and won't nap the rest of the day.

How can I get her to be put down? Is there something we could try for her to sleep in that isn't her pram, or a Moses basket? I want to get stuff done while she naps!! I love the snuggles but even if she would sleep an hour or 2 a day somewhere I could easily get my housework done and I'd be happy!!

Sorry this is so long!!!!
