is there anyone else witha two year old as bad as mine

he went to bed at 7 shattered and woke 4 times before 10pm and has been up and down all night and awake fore the day at 5:30
my 3 day old niece sleeps better than him

have resigned myself now but just need to know that i am not alone

Not as "bad" as yours, no, but doesn't sleep particularly well.
She goe sin phases and has been a lot better recently, just waking at 5am ish then going back down unitl 6.30am ish.
A few weeks ago she was awkiang about 5 times a night. Noy for anything, you understand, just because she can! And she likes t tell us that she is awake. Loudly.
My HV has no advice, other than I am lucky she doesn't need settling back to sleep, andd the usual about night lights, etc. tough she did suggest rescue remedy- for dd, not me- I had t pin her dpwn to give it to her, so not really relaixng!!

ds2 is very loud about going back to besd. We had hysterics several times last night. Night lights, black out blind, not hungry.

ds is 2y8 and I thought about starting a similar thread. He wakes most nights at least once and 4/7 nights he wakes several times. He wakes screaming the house down but normally will settle with a cuddle and a tuck or if I am really shattered sometimes he will settle for a call from our room reassuring him. When he is sick it is ten times worse and he can wake every 20-30 minutes or just cry and cry all night (usually will be parked in his room on rocking chair during these times.) Have given up on him sleeping through but am hoping as he gets older he will need less support from me to help him resettle himself.
