I co slept with DS1 and though it wasn’t what I planned, it ended up being fantastic and I have no regrets. This time though, I’d rather not co sleep. DS2 has been home 2 nights and so far the only significant sleep has been had when he’s either at the breast or sleeping close beside me. I really want to get things on track with him sleeping in his crib, but I don’t know how to start. I can put him down awake on my bed and he will fall asleep. I can’t put him down awake in his crib though, he just cries and cries. It’s pointless putting him down onc he’s already asleep as of course he wakes back up and cries.

What do I do?

A few days old is really too early to start laying down the law. Give him a chance!

I know it’s early and I’m not expecting much now, but I need to know how to start this

Also, it’s not safe for me to sleep beside him right now so it’s a risk every time it happens
